Hi! Welcome to Living Lauren! As you may have already figured out, my name is Lauren. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog!
I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am 26 and still have no idea what to say when people ask me where I am from. I have never lived anywhere for more than 4 years and spent all of high school in Beijing, China. No, my dad was not in the military. My parents just love to seize new opportunities and the apple does not fall far from the tree. I am the oldest of 4 girls and my sisters are triplets. No, they are not identical. We all look related and people usually think one of them is my twin. My dream is to live abroad again but in the meantime, I am trying to get to all 50 states. I am a lover of all food but have a special bond with Asian cuisine and American comfort food. My drink of choice is always an iced coffee. I keep up with the Kardashians and am proud of it. Some (my mom) would say I have an “all or nothing” personality. I haven’t decided if I am going to try to work on that or embrace it. Stay tuned 🙂
If you know me, you know I have a passion for food and travel. The year I moved to Beijing was the year my love for travel was born. 10 years later, that passion has lead me to 25+ countries and thousands of delicious meals. I have always loved taking pictures and sharing my experiences but had only used Instagram as a platform to share. This year has given me a new outlook on life as well as making me realize that I need a hobby (2020 ya know?). And that is where Living Lauren began. The one thing that brings me more joy than experiencing all of life’s adventures is being able to share them with others.
