Best Food in Asheville

You name a cuisine, Asheville has it. The food scene in Asheville is plentiful. When visiting Asheville, please refer to both this post and the travel guide. I wrote a lot about the breweries with great food in the travel guide post.

Brunch & Lunch

Forestry Camp – Has become one of my favorite spots in Asheville over the past few months. It is truly a hidden gem. They are a branch of Burial Brewing (located downtown). The menu is ever changing and they locally source their ingredients.

Sunny Point – Amazing brunch spot! I had avoided going here because of the long waits. I thought “There is no way that place is worth it”. I was wrong. It is! They serve Southern comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Holes – This cute little spot has the best donuts I have ever had. Every single one is made to order right in front of you! They have vanilla glaze, toasted almond sesame cinnamon, cinnamon sugar and a seasonal flavor that rotates weekly.

Dinner

Nine Mile – Carribean inspired restaurant. This is actually one of my favorite restaurants I have ever been to. This says a lot! Every single dish is packed with flavor and served with a side salad and delicious “natty bread”. There are three separate locations. I would recommend the West Asheville location as the South Asheville one does not serve their cocktail menu. The Soul Rebel and Kingston 12 are my favorite dishes.

The Kingston 12

Curate – Spanish tapas restaurant and very well-known is Asheville. If you know you want to eat here before your trip, I highly recommend making a reservation. Fun atmosphere and delicious dishes.

Pack’s Tavern – This is a classic American pub known for its family atmosphere. Great food and awesome drink specials. Orange crushes are $5 on Fridays! The perfect summer drink.

Rooftops

The Montford – Fun rooftop bar with highland views and seasonal cocktails. Perfect place to watch the sunset and enjoy the holiday decorations. I have yet to eat there but their brunch menu looks delish.

Capella on 9 – Beautiful rooftop on top of the AC Hotel. Great food, tapas inspired plats and an Asheville view.
