Casual Lunch Spots in Charlotte

Lunch is my favorite meal of the day and lucky for me, Charlotte has a wide variety of awesome, well-priced lunch spots.

Optimist Hall – I could make an entire post on this one spot. There are a million food stalls and all different cuisines. This is the perfect place to grab a drink, try a few different dishes and relax outside. My favorites are The Dumpling Lady, Harriets (one of the best burgers in Charlotte), Papi Queso… the list goes on.

Yafo – This place works for both lunch and dinner. They have an impressive variety of food options and every single menu item is insanely fresh. There is a dish for every person at Yafo. You can get a healthy salad bowl or a warm, comforting platter. Don’t miss the greek yogurt mac and cheese! You can get a small side of it for $1. A few of my favorites are the falafel (never liked it until I tried Yafo’s), schwarma chicken and the Granch dressing (greek yoghurt ranch).

KO Sushi – This take-out only sushi spot has the premium quality fish at the best price. Before covid, my coworkers and I would order this sushi weekly. They have great simple and specialty rolls. KO sushi is a weekly meal for me.

Leroy Fox – So many different options here. Great southern comfort food, delicious sandwiches, salads and wraps. This is a Charlotte classic. I love their shrimp wrap, mac and cheese, fried chicken, brunch options… pretty much everything.

Flower Child – Great, healthy options with an awesome atmosphere. My go-to is the turkey avocado cobb with the lemon avocado dressing.
